Sara Mehidi

I am a postdoctoral fellow at Mathematical Institute of Utrecht University, where I work with Marta Pieropan as part of "Fano varieties: rational points and beyond" grant. My main interest is applying log geometry to study arithmetic geometry and birational geometry problems.

Before that, I was a Phd student in algebraic geometry at Institut de mathématiques de Toulouse and Institut de mathématiques de Bordeaux under the supervison of Jean Gillibert and Dajano Tossici. My thesis was about Extending torsors via log schemes, it can be found here.

Currently co-organizing:

  • The Algebraic Geometry Seminar at the university of Utrecht. See here.
  • A learning seminar on Log Stacks at the universities of Leiden/Utrecht. See here.
